Hi Lisa-Maree
I am sorry that you have had to join this club but you are in the right place for advice, support and friendship.
As RobynW says, be guided by your medical team and above all, go to appointments with a written list of questions - NO question is silly.
If you have anything on your mind pop onto this site and someone will have been in exactly that same space/mindset and be here to guide you or reassure you.
Use this site to vent if you need to, to ask questions and to just feel less alone.
Kind thoughts
Summer :-)

Hi Lisa Maree, as I'm relatively new to this group too and I find it has been a wonderful place for support and to see how others have managed their situations. I had my surgery 4 weeks ago and start radio in a few days. All the best with which ever way your journey takes you. Regards Maria

Hi Lisa Maree, welcome to the club. All the previous comments have covered everything. You're in good hands when you come on here. I've found a lot of support from this network. I was diagnosed back in April. Had surgeries, chemo and having # 8 radiotherapy today. The early days are the worst. There's lots of ups and downs. Ask all questions. Sending big cyber hug your way.
Karen xx

Thanks Karen for your response. I think I have been on auto pilot for the last few days and things are just starting to sink in. I have written down a few questions for my Specialist who I see next week and then I guess it is all go from there! I am just soaking up info, reading a lot and trying to get myself informed. Am loving this network already! Thanks Lisa

Hi Wheeliegal
Welcome to this great site where you are never alone with your thoughts and feelings 1
Make a list of questions (no question is silly) and have someone with you to take notes and listen as well. You will, like all of us, be in a bit of a fog at times and may not hear everything.
Your team will get it sorted as long as you ask ask ask and cover your options. As those 'what ifs' rather than leave an appointment being unsure of anything. Ask until you can fully understand what they are saying.
Above all, be on line regularly to keep us updated and vent when you need to. Best to vent on here and get it out of your system. Good to have a cry, don't hold anything in.
Take care. Keep in touch.
Summer :-)

Hi Lisa-Maree
Hope you are doing well.
Don't get ahead of yourself with the My Journey Kit - only read the chapters which relate to you at the minute if you can as you don't want to get bogged down in stuff which will never apply to you.
As most of the ladies say, one step at a time.
Keep us posted.
Summer :-)
