Thank you
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I just wanted to thank you all for your enthusiasm and participation at summit. I have heard that you were all champions! I'm glad to see that you are using what you have learned at summit to facilitate engagement with your communities.
I know that it can be sometimes difficult and frustrating when the template for communication goes through changes. Thank you for your willingness to acclimate through this. With the help of your feedback, we have fixed the vast majority of glitches on the site. We are continuously working on improvements to make communication for our members as smooth as possible.
How do you think that this platform can be used to best support you as a key active member?
Thank you so much for everything!

Hi Anne-Marie,
I sometimes think a "how to navigate the site" would be really helpful to new members. I think when you are new it can be confusing as to where your posts appear for eg your blog or to one of your groups. Also if they have their profiles set to private as to "who can read their posts" then they may not realise that nobody except their contacts, for which newbies don't often have many, can see their posts. I also think that some new members may not get that "my feed" doesn't necessarily contain general posts, only posts from their groups.
Maybe every few weeks as a featured post there could be a "how to navigate post" or even have it set permanently somewhere (not sure of the logistics of that.)
Just a thought.

Paula you are so right..
I love this idea and it's so vital to our new members. Do you feel a video could help?
Thank you yes, MASSIVE shoes to fill, so not necessarily going to try fill them as Daina is a very special lady. I will bring my passion to the network and ensure that it continues to grow and support all our incredible members.

Hi Ann marie
something that might be confusing also to newbies is the differences between devices - whilst you get used to it a table of the key differences between smartphone, tablet/iPad and Pc might also assist- not sure if there are also differences between windows/android/apple or IE/ chrome or other browsers.
Good luck with everything - I am sure you will do well

Ann-Marie, As an admin for an online chat room I quite often find new ladies are sometimes completely unsure as to what they are doing as they have never used a computer or other device. These ladies are the ones that need the most help, but it needs to be very basic in language that they will understand. Any person that is use to computers etc should not have too much of problem. For some it is a huge learning curve. Dianne

Good Morning Dianne,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would you recommend providing help around the basic essentials or more around this site? I have been teaching my mum how to use an ipad and agree it has been a step by step process to build her confidence up. Now she is a wiz

Ann-Marie,
I would suggest that your instruction be on this site, people can relate to what they are looking at and if they are on this site they can relate to what you are teaching. If more basic and general instruction is required people can then go to other sources for information. maybe their local library. Also as you probably realize that if you are given instruction about something you are not using you cannot relate. I do hope this makes sense and is helpful,
