On the 28th April it will be 6 years since I was diagnosed. 2008 was a hell of a year the last 6 months of it was surgery, chemo, radiation and then Tamoxifin, then back to work. I never thought I would one day be a pink lady but I'm happy to be in the company of some inspirational sisters.
I did 2010 Field of Women and it was one of the most moving things Ive ever been to. When they asked us to put up our hands if your a survivor I just cried, and said "yes I made it"
I will be doing the 2014 Field of Women with my family and friends. I'm doing it this time with them, but 2010 my daughter was the only one I wanted with me as everything was still very raw and I didnt want anyone else, I just needed to find the peace myself.
Sorry Sydney was cancelled but glad its in my hometown.
