Hi Lynne, we like you, were very dissappointed that we could not hold the Field of Women in Sydney last year. Sadly the Sydney Swans and Telstra Stadium were not able to provide the logistics to ensure we all had a great experience.
I can assure you we tried everything we could. The logistics of the event are significant and with the SCG not able to hold the 15,000 pink ponchos and 120 blue before an AFL match, Telstra Stadium was our only option.
A group of other Sydney members, who are also very disappointed about last year, have decided to have a party and watch the Field of Women on Channel 7 this year.
The whole team here at BCNA have our thinking caps on to hopefully come up with a new concept that will be just as powerful for all our members in Sydney and infact all other states to get involved in the future.
