The joys of chemo, I started to lose my hair after first chemo my husband used to follow me and pick up the hair. By the time I got to second chemo it was falling out in clumps so I went to the hairdresser and had it all cut off. Cried of course, very confronting. I wore a wig for work but home I wore a hat or scarf I felt more comfortable. A couple of days after having my hair cut off my head got infected, red and very painful.
This all happened last year and my hair has grown back at first it was salt and pepper grey so I coloured it blond, as it has grown it is really curly and thick.
I have changed my colour and much happier with new colour
It is a long trip and losing your hair is just another thing to deal with.
