It does not matter what type of career one has, it is always nice for others to recognize anything that is done well. Many people love to criticize or dob in a bad worker but often people simply don't bother to say ''thanks''. Me ? I am always careful to thank helpful shop assistants and take my dirty dishes back to help the waiter if I have enjoyed the service and meal.
If I am super surprised about good service of any sort I will even send a ''thank you'' card (as many of us did after our treatments) and make sure their supervisor is aware of our satisfaction.
