Thankyou all. I am writing everything down. Havent had any side affects yet. Although am getting tired alot. Now im off the steroids sugar level is back to normal.

Started my Chemo
Hi everyone As to my last discussion i have opted to doing the 6 mths like they want me to instead of the 3. I am on AC-T so now i am on my 5th day now and have been good. Havent had any down days although getting tired alot. Im looking after myself so im hoping i can continue without to many side affects.

3 or 6 months chemo
I went for my 1st oncology appointment and was discussed for me to do 6 mths on AC - T but i dont want to do 6 mths i want to do 3 mths. Her reason was that if i dont handle it very well theres more room to change it than if i were to do 3 mths as i would be on different stuff and there isnt much wiggle room to change it. Do i have to do the 6mths or can i still opt for the 3. I know the 3 mths is going to be harsher but i still want to opt for that. Just not sure what to do.

Thankyou everyone.Didnt sleep much last night i am relatively pain free just very sore.Drs been in explained everything im on the waiting list to go home and back in 2 weeks for the results.Everything didnt go as planned but theres not much i can do except wait for results so we can make a plan from there.

Had my surgery
Hi Just an update ladies.What a nightmare nothings going right.Went Tuesday so they could find the nodes didnt have much success 4 hrs later did the best they could Had the hookwire put in once again had trouble finding it.Had my surgery doing well only i am so confused.Didnt take skin from my belly like i was told not even sure if he took the node just looks like hes removed the cancer and sewn me back up.Wont know what went on till i see him in the morning its very frustrating i cant see the sense in staying over night.

Thnkyou for all the information.I know now to take someone with me to all my appointments because when i was diagnosed i didnt and when they told me i never heard a word they said so now my mother comes with me.I live in Windsor so i am going to Mt Druitt Public Hospital.I am a single mother of 5 children 2 older ones and 3 at home one of which is a 9 yr old Autistic boy who is finding it very hard as he needs routine n stabilty which at the moment hes not getting.I have a good support from family and friends. I have got my Journey Kit and my Bra and also my Breastcare Nurse.Once ive had my op im on 5 weeks of radiotherapy pending my results.Just so much information and appointments all at once finding it hard to take it all in.

Newly diagnosed
Hi I am 47 and went for a mammogram because my mother and sister were going for one. Theres were ok but when i got my letter saying i need more tests my heart sank. Had by biopsy and showed early stage. Since then been a whirlwind of emotions been given all this information to read and decisions to make dont know wether im coming or going anymore. Go in for my Lumpectomy and Node on Wednesday. Feeling very overwhelmed any advice would be appreciated.
