Re: Hair loss
I went for a short pixie cut and day 16 after first chemo hair started to fall out. Went to my own hairdresser after hours and she shaved it. I was pleasantly surprised and actually liked the bald look. I didn’t do wigs did henna tattoos instead and LOVED them. Actually miss them. 2 years on and cancer free and still rocking a pixie cut xxx1View0likes0CommentsRe: Single or double mastectomy
I opted to have a double mastectomy. My surgeon recommended single mastectomy but I insisted on having a double. They weren’t happy about doing it but I had to follow my gut and double mastectomy was the only option that made sense to me. Best decision I could have made for me. I have 2 small boys and I only plan on doing this once so threw everything at it. Chemo, radiation, herceptin etc... I’m not planning on going down the recon route at this stage. Couldn’t face another surgery at the moment and not sure why I would do it. My husband doesn’t care so not sure who I would be doing it for? I just want a healthy body and padded bras work a treat for me as was only an A cup before cancer! Good luck with your decision and just follow your gut! Hello ladies so being on here obviously I have had breast cancer and used cannabis oil throughout my treatment and continue to do so. Diagnosed Feb 2017. My Mammy is a cancer survivor 15 years clear but was diagnosed with Parkinsons 7 years ago. She tried the oil when Mammy and Daddy were over looking after me during treatment and it was incredible! She has a slow progressing Parkinson and at this stage only had the shaky hand. 5 drops no shake!! Powerful stuff!6Views0likes0CommentsRe: Ovary removal.
Hi @Mic80 my cancer was oestrogen positive so I opted to have ovaries and tubes removed. Very quick surgery stayed in over night only because I had a late surgery time otherwise would have been a day procedure (had to keep me in for observation). Back to work 2 days later zero negative side effects or issues! Except for the fact that I am now fully in menopause (chemo had done that anyway)! Good luck x12Views0likes0Comments
