Diagnosed 2018. All clear now. Would like to thank this site for all the informative information and support. I had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and reconstruction. Just wanted to say thank you for everyone's support here. To everyone who's just been diagnosed or struggling, there is help, just reach out. That's what happened for me. Hugs. Thank you @Glynnis and @iserbrown I have made a decision. I'm going to do it. Fingers crossed. I feel that my mind space would give this breast cancer trip a full stop. And move on. Now just have to do the logistics, 3-1/2 hour trip to Melb overnight stay and 3-12 trip home. Thanks. Julie.Advise please - tidy up of dog ears etc
Well out of the blue I received a phone call tonight 6:30 that " would I like to come in on Monday 7.00am to Peter Mac to have a 'tidy up' ie dog ears, lipo on reconstructed boob and a nipple". Now this has been in the back of my mind, and I had 2019 behind me as I was constantly worried about further cancer. So 2020 was a year that I did not want to think about it. Now do I do it - or then have to wait another how many years to get it done if needed. Have you had it done, was it OK, and do I need a nipple? Just some of your thoughts would be appreciated. Hi there - to all that are in the bush fires I am praying for you. It is a very depressing time here Something else you don't need. I am safe, but surrounded by fires and smoke. So I have cleaned out my 'stuff' and have some scarves, bras and a wig to give to someone who has lost their house and personal items. I would like to give them away to who needs them. Hi Had first anniversary mammogram today. Went into the same room, looked at the bed and thought I remember that! Only one boob this time, all good :) so now on checks 6 months with onc and yearly mammogram. Hoping I can now put this experience to bed, but I know I will still look over my shoulder. Thanks to everyone for support and advice. Hugs to all :*
