I so feel your pain. I'm hanging in there also. Good luck with your treatment. I don't have much to advise as I'm also at the beginning and start chemo in May. My husband also says to stay positive ad can't understand why I have moments of tears, but I have told him to have a diagnosis of cancer and see what it does to your psyche! Have seen oncologist and radiotherapy doctor . Plan of action is chemo of TC for 4 rounds then radiotherapy. I'm still worried about recurrence and should I have done mastectomy. How do you ever know if you made the right decision? The oncologist throws in the comment that I can have a mastectomy after chemo if I don't want radiotherapy. The surgeon says no better prognosis from lumpectomy than mastectomy. And radiologist has own agenda! Who knows!! Head still spinning . Hi LMW, I feel I'm following a similar path. Still got my drain in after 3 weeks. Saw Arlene chan also and start chemo on the 3 rd of May! We might sit next to each other one day! Hi Julie, I had lumpectomy and ALND 2 weeks ago and still have my drain in! It keeps draining away and my surgeon wants 2 days with less than 50 mls before removal. Hi Igray, I have been following your posts as I'm new here also. I feel your pain. I don't have enough knowledge about bc yet to help but with constipation I know 1 tsp of Epsom salts diluted with water and chased down with orange juice as it tastes horrible is effective. Hi everyone. My results are in , need a pathology degree!. 24mm grade 2 invasive lobular carcinoma. Clear margins from lumpectomy.ER+/PR+/HER-. 1/13 lymph node positive . Pathological stage:pT2,pN1a,pMx, stage 2b. what ever that means!. Will have to google! Surgeon is now referring me on to oncologist, not sure how long that takes. Not sure what treatment I'm in for? Still have drain in draining away, day 12 now. Has anyone had a drain in for that long? Anyone out there had a similar diagnosis to give me some idea what treatment I'm in for ? Still learning. Having a bad morning. Everyone's life is going on and I'm stuck at home . No work, no gym. Just waiting for results. Time is standing still. Drain still in and draining. So not coming out anytime soon. I know I should be greatful for good family and great friends. Sick of talking everyone through what's happened so far. i feel like I'm part of a horror movie and I'm the main character. I've always just cruised thru life in the background. This breast cancer diagnosis has hit me hard. Fast forward 3 weeks from that fateful phone call that they had seen something on the mamogram to today. Post lumpectomy with axillary clearance as sentenial node is positive. I'm sitting here having to wait my fate in about 10 days. Family and friends keep saying stay positive but my brain is in over drive. My sister in law was one of the unlucky ones to have stage 4 diagnosed straight away. I feel like I'm now walking down the same path. How do you stay positive?.438Views0likes21Comments
