Trials of new Mets Drug at Duke Cancer Institute - Bone Mets
This sounds promising .... This trial comes from a leukemia background and is now being tested on BC patients with HR+ Mets - hopefully even preventing cancer cells getting into bone marrow on patients who are currently NED (but may still have cancer cells circulating in the body.) Up to 30% of NED patients may go on to…

How to curb the fear
Hi everyone, it has been quite sometime since I have been on the network. We have had other dramas in our life and my focus has tended to be on that. A couple of weeks ago my psychologist commented on how sever my anxiety and depression is. I have struggled so much emotionally since finishing my cancer treatment back in…

I made my 5 year milestone from my 2nd diagnosis :)
Hey All! Been a very long time since I've posted in the main Forum, however I felt it important to share this. My first diagnosis was in 2011, I underwent a lumpectomy, radiation and tamoxifen. 4yrs later at my routine yearly checkup, I was diagnosed with a recurrence in the scar tissue of the lumpectomy :( it was a 2.5cm…

Prosigna testing
Has anyone had gene testing such as Prosigna and how has it guided you in treatment decisions? How have you judged a low risk of recurrence and would you decline any element of common approaches to treatment (chemo, radiation, endocrine therapy?) as a result. Discussion on this site suggests to me that all of the hormonal…

It’s back for the third time 💔
Hi ladies, Some of you might remember me. I had DCIs for the first time in 2013 at the age of 22 years old, had a lumpectomy only not further treatment which is something I questioned back then and now still although I was brca 2 positive. Recurrence in lymph nodes
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with TN Inflammatory BC in late Oct 2017. Treatment was 5 mths of Chemo ( 8wks fortnightly A/C, followed by 12 weeks weekly Taxol) then modified radical mastectomy (rt breast and 3 lymph nodes) which showed only a tiny amount (1.3mm) of residual disease with excellent margins. There had been…

Should I be worried
I had a high grade DCIS last year and had a right breast lumpectomy and a reconstruction. My right breast took 4 months to heal and as a result I had no radiotherapy or Tamoxifen. I have started to get itching and soreness in my left breast, but am not sure whether it's still part of the healing process from the…

TNBC
I was diagnosed 12 months ago with TNBC. During treatment I always thought of my boob as a shitty titty and now having completed treatment I thought about recurrence. I asked my Oncologist the % of chance of return. He said I'm high risk (Gulp). Im now trying to come to terms with 50/50 chance of recurrence. I'm quietly…
