I would love to find some support/friend for my mother who has had breast cancer twice. She is 73 and lives in Toowoomba, QLD, and I think it would do her the world of good to open up to somebody about her experiences. It would also help if that person was German, as she is a native German and while her English is very good, she is more comfortable speaking German. If anyone is willing to help or knows of somebody local that I could contact, that would be a huge help.

    Hi Maud,

I just wanted to jump in and suggest you and your Mum connect in with the local support group in Toowoomba. I am not sure if they will have any German speaking members but it will be a good start for some support for you both:-- http://www.bcna.org.au/membergroup/group/toowoomba-breast-cancer-support-network

Thanks Daina. I will suggest to her to attend a session, although I think this has already been suggested to her by her doctor. I think she has a big mental block and just wants to ignore everything and go back to normal.
