Hi. Just thought I'd ask quickly what questions I should be asking at my meeting with the specialists this afternoon? Bit late to be asking but hopefully someone sees this!

    https://www.bcna.org.au/understanding-breast-cancer/types-of-breast-cancer/

Hopefully this will help trigger some questions for you.  If you have someone with you it will help but you will find the specialist will initiate the conversation and with the information they give questions will come.

Not sure what Specialist you are seeing, Breast Surgeon, Oncologist, Radio et cetera

If you are to have a Mastectomy or lumpectomy here's a link from the main website

    https://www.bcna.org.au/understanding-breast-cancer/treatment/surgery/types-of-surgery/

    Hope that helps

Not sure who you are seeing but if you do a search at the top you may find what you're looking for from when others have asked the same.

When you start @MaryB83? And do you know what Chemo schedule you'll be on?

I'm still waiting to be told it's all a mistake to be honest. Don't think it'll feel real until I start. I start within the week. I'm doing 1 treatment every 3 weeks for 3 months and then 1 a week for 3 months (unless something changes)

Sounds like AC and Taxol Mary, does that ring a bell? There's some great info here about that. It's important to remember though that everyone reacts differently so try not to anticipate too much. You're on the breast cancer bus now, be kind to yourself along the way. Find a way to build in some treats and self care aling the way. Hang in there, big hugs. K xox

Hi @MaryB83 - sounds exactly like the Chemo regime that I'm starting tomorrow! What day do you start? I asked a lot of questions about it on a discussion called 'Chemo hear I go' and there's a lot of great advice and info on there if you want to check it out. Thinking of you and wishing you well xxxx

@MaryB83 I'm almost at the six month mark and several times a week I find myself thinking surely this isn't happening to me, this must be a mistake, any minute now I'll wake up and find this has all been a dream. So strange  :/
