    Oooooh - I think gadget is a much more official term !
    My neighbour refers to things according to what they actually do - i.e.  the thing that goes up - leaves us all wondering and laughing !

    My Dad would sometimes get us girls muddled and we then become our birth order number. 
    I do like doovalackie it describes everything!
    Years ago a neighbour was struggling to remember the name of a fella that ran an Art Gallery where she had some paintings hanging and all she could come up with was Lawn Mower!  Easy! Victor!  Her husband just shook his head and said you women have a language of your own!
    Sometimes it is word association that gets you to where you are trying to get to!

    Snowed here yesterday!  Looks like it could do it again today!  Brrrrrrrrrr!

    Yep, this thread has got some laughs going - and just what we need at times, eh ?  Gotta find a brights port sometimes and if it is at our own expense that is even better.

    I do love Victor - so appropriate, although a friend named their goat Victor as he was only employed to mow the grass !
