Hi all,

We've almost made it to the end of our first week in the new network. It's great to see you all setting up your profiles and some new groups spring up.  Here's a quick roundup of things you might need to know:

What's happening this week

This week we're working with our developers on fine-tuning the code that's already been deployed, as well as developing some new content areas and network functions. We may not deploy new things until just before the Live launch on May 7, but we'll let you know if we do so that you can check it out. There is always the possiblity that the network might slow down or be unavailable during the times when new code is deployed, but we'll do our best to keep disruption to a minimum (and not break anything! ;).

This week we'll also be widening the invitations to the network a little, so expect some new members.  We would still ask that you don't give out the site URL yourselves, though, as the content section of the site is still in development.

Where to find help

We have a couple of places you can find information or help if you need it:

  • Visit the Network "Getting Started" group and ask a question there.
  • Have a look at the Network Questions and Answers page which has answers to the most commonly asked questions.
  • Visit the 'Help' page and download the simple user guide.

If you can think of any additional questions for the Q & A page, or anything that would improve the user guide, then let us know.

Network activity

It's great to see so many of you here already. We're only in our sixth day of this live testing period and already we have around 30 members (aside from our 'testing' accounts).

We hope you enjoy participating and interacting with other network members. Just a reminder that we would ask that you read the Network posting guidelines before you participate.

I think that's it for now.  Let us know if you need anything, and feel free to post your impressions of the network so far in the comments.
